TOPIC 1 : UNIT    AND  MEANSUREMENT

1.1 PHYSICAL QUANTITIES AND UNITS

  • A quantity that can be measured.

  • A physical quantities have numericalvalue and unit of measurement
Physical quantities is classified into two types:
  • base quantities
  • derived quantities
1.1 BASE QUANTITIES 

meaning: the physical quantities that cannot be defined in terms of others quantities. 


1.1.2 DERIVED QUANTITIES 

meaning: The physical quantities that can be obtained and expressed in terms of base quantities or combination of few base quantities
